It's a really good cd, thick with emotion and full of good songs.
My favorite besides Watching Airplanes is Yesterdays Rain, an amazing song.

CMA Awards

This is a week late, but better late then never I guess! Anyway I thought it was pretty good. I wish Dierks Bentley had gotten to perform, rather then just present an award. And even though I was happy for Taylor Swift winning the Horizon award, I was really hoping it'd go to Jason Aldean.

And I think I was the only one not surprised when Sugarland bet Brooks and Dunn for duo of the year. Brooks and Dunn are good, but they aren't as hip and new as Sugarland.
Rascal Flatts winning group was no surprise of course, though I was hoping if they didn't, Emerson Drive would win.

I was really hoping that Emerson Drive would win video of the year. I love Emerson Drive and I'd love to see them win something like a CMA.

Carrie Underwood of course, was no surprise winning vocal and single of the year.

I didn't really want Brad Paisley to win Male vocal. I like Brad Paisely, but I was hoping Josh Turner would win. I like Josh Turner a lot more and like Emerson Drive, I'd love to see him win a CMA or an award that big.

The perfomances were good too. I fast forwarded through a lot in the interst of time, but I did watch Miranda Lambert singing Gunpowder And Lead, Taylor Swift singing "Our Song,"
Jason Aldean (Of course) singing "Johnny Cash,"

Oh and Entainer of the year. I wasn't surprised one bit when Kenny Chesney win. I really like pretty much everyone in that catorgory. But I think probably Kenny deserved it the most.

This is the title track from Jason Aldean's Relentless cd. It's defintely one of the best songs (Of course they are ALL good.) on the cd. I love this part of the sang the most, I think the lyrics are just beautiful. I listen to this one a ton, and always on full blast. =)
I really hope that when Jason Aldean releases another single, it's this one, though I do LOVE Laughed Until We Cried.

Like the new look? Mostly I just updated things. I changed my list of favorite songs, and changed the picture and header. Yep, Jason Aldean. =)
The template is basically tempriary at the moment, to match my Jason Aldean pictures. I may or may not change it back, depending on how I like it.

Watching Airplanes

I finally for the first time heard Watching Airplanes, Gary Allan's new single, on the radio! They also debuted the video for it last Thursday on CMT, though I've yet to see it since then. It's also #23 on the billboard charts! If you haven't heard it go to www.garyallan.com or www.cmt.com and watch the video. It's a really great song, so I defintely reccomend you check it out! Also request it on your own radio station and help it move up the charts!

These are the three cds I got for my birthday yesterday, Dierks untitled first album, Jason Aldean "Relentless" And Kenny Chesney "Just Who I Am - Poets And Pirates" All three are great cds. Relentless would have to be my favorite of the bunch though. With Laughed Until We Cried, No, Back In This Cigarette and more amazing songs I've already listened to it three times. Defintely go pick it up, especially if you loved his first album, because this one is even better!

The Dierks Bentley cd is really good. I love Wish it Would Break, Distant Shores and pretty much every song is really good! It's also amazing to see how much his voice and his songs have grown since 2003.

Poets and Pirates is really good, even though I haven't gotten to listen to it much yet. But my favorites songs are of course, Don't Blink, Wife And Kids, Just Not Today and Scare me.
I'd defintely recommend all three. =)

And next week is Gary Allan and Carrie Underwood!!!

First of all I got Gary Allan's Greatest hits cd, last month and I think it an amazing cd! I defintely recommend it. On more Gary Allan news have you heard Watching Airplanes? It is the most amazing song ever. I love it. And his new cd, Living Hard, comes out on October 23rd, the same day as Carrie Underwood's new cd, Carinval Ride. I'll be buying both. =)

Now to the Rascal Flatts! I got their new cd, Still Feels Good on the day it came out. It's a great cd! All the songs are amazing, I can't pick a favorite but some of mine are Winner At A Loosing Game, No Reins, Here and Every Move She Makes, but every song is good. Defintely go buy it! Especially if you love the Flatts. It's still very much the Flatts sound that we all know and love.

And speaking of the Flatts, congrats to them on there so far three week number one with Take Me There! Go Flatts. =) I bet it really does Still Feel Good.

So Small is moving up for Carrie Underwood. It's at number 10 on the charts, following Dierks Bentley's Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go) Go Dierks and Carrie!

Lost is my one of my favorite songs. I'm not a huge Faith Hill fan, but this song is amazing. You may not have heard it much, it hasn't gotten a lot of airplay but I believe it is on Faith Hill's Greatest Hits album, soon to come out. Faith Hill performed it at the ACM awards a few months ago and it's great. I bought the song recently and I am listening to it all the time. I defintely recommend you go find it on Puretracks (Puretracks.com) Or your favorite music site and buy it. It's great.

Both Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney have spent 5 weeks at number one!!! Kenny with his hit single (Talk about a hit! It made it to number one in EIGHT weeks!) has dominated the chart for five weeks, so has Taylor Swift with her self titled album (which I own and recommend). Congrats to the two. =)

Heard Kenny Chesney's follow up single to Never Wanted Nothing More? Don't Blink is awesome. If I wanted his new cd before, I defintely want it now! (September 11th!) it's a really amazing song with beautiful lyrics. The videos is pretty cool too, and you can see it on Yahoo Music or CMT loaded. And I really suggest you do if you haven't yet, cause it's awesome.
It's tied with You Save Me as being my favorite Kenny Chesney song. =)

Have you heard Carrie Underwood's new song, So Small? Well it's already blasting through the charts. I've only heard the song about five or six times, but on my local radio station (That does a top five songs as people vote for them) So Small has been number one since it came out, a week ago. And then there's the billboard charts. She broke another record, being the first solo female country artist to enter the charts that high. How high? Number twenty. Will this be an even faster ride to number one then Kenny Chesney's eight week Never Wanted Nothing More?

On CMT's Top 20 Countdown Taylor Swift's Teardrops On My Gutiar has made it's way back to number one! That makes it her second week at number one.
Stand by Rascal Flatts held the number two spot this week, and Missing You by Alison Krauss and John Waite was number three.
Bucky Convington's Different World slid down to number five.

Sorry that's it has taken me so long to get this up! But here we go. On CMT's Top 20 Countdown Carrie held on to the #1 spot for the third week in a row with Wasted. She's halfway to beating the six week record held by none other then herself.
#2 was Teardrops On My Gutiar and Taylor Swift and #3 was Bucky Covington and Different World.

The number one album this week is once again Carrie Underwood Some Hearts! followed by Tim McGraw Let It Go, Martina Mcbride Waking Up Laughing and Taylor Swift's self titled album.
Dierks Bentley's Long Trip Alone is at the #20 spot.

And the number one song this week was Billy Currington with Good Directions!
Followed by Sugarland and Settlin', and Emerson Drive and Moments.

ACM's

I watched the ACM's on tivo (The power of going through commecials and perfomances by people I don't care for) and I was pretty happy about all the results. Carrie won 3 awards, (Video, album and top female vocalist) making her biggest winner of the night. I expected her to get song and single of the year too, but those were snapped up by George Strait instead.
Rodney Atkins was defintely the person I wanted to win Top New Male Vocalist! I like Craig Morgan but he's not my favorite and I have yet to hear a song by Chris Young.
Top New Female Vocalist was a disappointment, I was hoping that Taylor Swift would win. I was surprised when Miranda Lambert won, but I'm not really a fan of hers.
Top duo wasn't a surprise, after Brooks and Dunn have won for 14 years in a row now! But I was hoping that Sugarland could pull out a win.
Top New Vocal Group/duo wasn't really a surprise either. I was pulling for The Wreckers, but once again I'm not really a fan of Little Big Town.
And Top Female Vocal did surprise me a little! Carrie is one of my favorites, but I didn't know if she would be able to pull a win over Martina McBride.
Top Male Vocalist, I was hoping Keith Urban would win, but I'll settle for Brad Paisly.
And finally there's entainer of the year. I was hoping for Rascal Flatts or Tim Mcgraw, but Kenny Chesney won for the third year in a row.

And out of this comes the question-Where was Dierks???? He was nomainted for nothing, and in the CMT awards, he was nominated for nothing. What has happened? I haven't been able to figure this out yet. It's puzzled me exceedingly!

Cmt Awards

I think that everyone I voted for at the CMT Awards won, except for Josh Turner.
I loved the opening of the show, with the "Are You Smarter Then A Fifth Grade Country Star." It was great. And I think Blake Shelton was the perfect "constant."
The rest of the show was pretty good too I think. Sugarland sang Stay which I'm guessing is going to be their new single, and Dierks Bentley sang Long Trip Alone and I thought it was awesome.

March is On Hold month!

So for anyone who watched the top twenty countdown this week will have found out from the show's host, Lance Smith, that March is on hold month.Then he found out that when CMT puts you on hold there is no music! So he went out of the studio and found Dierks Bentley (!!) and brought him out the front desk to sing while some people were on hold. What did he sing?

So my favorite song EVER is Long Trip Alone by Dierks Bentley. It is such an awesome song and I love it. I listen to it so much my three year old niece knows the words! The chorus is
